The Cranberry Lake Dam Commissioner has most likely let extra liquids loose! Snowdrops are UP and geese and ducks swim and shout down in the open AND RIPPING Oswegatchie River. Cranberry Larry saw a fisher run across the road down by the car bridge! The trails are WET and scattered with pockets of snow! There were a few DEC guys checking out the flooded truck trail to High Rock the other day. We we're too busy splashing in muddy puddles to chat with them. Ranger School goes on Spring Break next week. They have reported open water down there coming out of the narrows! WEBCAME HERE. And... HOLY CRAP.... the snow seemed to melt away really fast! The SNOW CROQUET COURSE out in ZPARK has lost ALL of its middle mounds. Boundry mounds remain! We have had some SUPER NICE and sunny and warm blue sky days up here. A real treat for sure! The 10-day forecast looks like we're going to settle in a steady stretch of coldish wettish snowyish stuff... in other words, SPRING! It's a QUARTER OF THE YEAR don't write it off folks! CARPE KENA!
