College group looking to canoe Cranberry Lake this past Saturday were quickly turned back to town by the wind. They wound up hanging at Vinyl Night and overnighting at the Town of Fine Campsite; great folks and happy campers! Speaking of Vinyl Night... it snowed! Cold! Wind! Snow! Campfire! Popcorn! Party People! Springtime in WANAKENA! Hiker doing the 50 started Monday and checked back in Wednesday; good spirits and a little wet. He said he reads the WANAKENA WEEKLY! Ranger School counting down the days. After they graduate Forest Rangers to-be move in! Keep an eye out for them jogging around town in formation. Leave 'em alone, though - they focused and busy!
