For many Wanakeners this means shutting down the camp for the cold weather months! Many folks have already departed, and we will say ta-ta to the rest of them this weekend! The church bells have stopped ringing and this weekend is your last chance to visit the Wanakena History Center before it closes for the winter as well. BUT FEAR NOT! As we all know there are many nice warm days ahead of us! (AND WONDERFUL FRIGID ONES TOO!) We have NOT descended into darkness! Our existence is NOT meaningless! CROQUET LIVES and there is still TONS of colorful fall foliage all around us glowing bright in the morning sun as the waning full moon sets to the west! Raccoons scamper among the squirrels and hikers; late summer wildflowers are here but hummingbirds no more. Otto's Abode Open Air Open Mic Halloween Spooktronic will be held Saturday November 1st 6-9pm all forms of talent encouraged, spectators welcome, COSTUMES PLEASE!
