Alright folks! Happy Thursday indeed! Wed like to FIRST take this opportunity to give a big THANK YOU to all the fine friends, neighbors and strangers who are able to and choose to take the time out of their days to go out of their ways to CONSISTANTLY shop at small and local businesses like Otto's Abode! WE PLAYED SOME RECORDS FROM OUR COLLECTION AND A BUNCH OF OTHERS HAND SELECTED AND SPUN BY DJ OPEL HIMSELF! Dave Z. turned on the last Wanakena Water that needed to be turned on for the season... THAT MEANS EVERYONE IS HERE! Ot at least they were and will return. Ranger School summer session is GOING ON! There's reports of super cute baby fox clusters tumbling around up there. Also, Bio Station folks are out here doing all sorts of cool stuff. IN OTHER NEWS: Bigs are still THICK! The mosquito chased folks right out of the woods up here! Deer fly are starting to get curious! Trails are in decent shape as usual... some wet spots here and there... AS FORESTS SHOULD BE! There was a medium sized bear walking down the street right here the other early morning! Looking healthy and moving on its way! There has been a big chubby (and super cute) racoon acting a little funny here during the days though here and there though. We assisted with a Ranger Rescue the other day and feel proud to be able to help out! We, along with another neighbor, assisted in connecting the dots aiding in phone calls and helpful information. Not online is Ott's Abode a grocery store... but we also specialize in helping folks navigate the wilderness that surrounds us! We ALSO host musical event's out in ZPARK in front of the store. This weekend we are SUPER PUMPED to host The Wanakena Historical Association! ( www.wanakena.com ) PLAN ON COMING OUT TO WANAKENA THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON! THE WANAKENA HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION IS KICKING-OF THEIR 25TH YEAR WITH LIVE MUSIC AND FOOD IN ZPARK! WE'LL BE OPEN, OF COURSE! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! AND THANKS AS ALWAYS FOR READING WANAKENA WEEKLY!
