WANAKENA HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION'S 4th ANNUAL WINTER PHOTO CONTEST (02/06-03/04/19)

Held in conjunction with The Adirondack WhiteOut Weekend (Presidents Day Weekend Clifton-Fine, NY). A message from exhibition organizer Allen Ditch:

Thank You to all the fantastic photographers that entered this year's photo contest. Every image told a story, especially with so many creative titles. A total of twenty-five photographers (67 photos) entered the 'Why We Love Winter" photo contest this year. All of the entries were beautiful, creative images depicting why we love winter in the North Country. The winning photos can be viewed either on the Wanakena Historical Association Face book page or the WHA web site at www.wanakena.com/events .

Here are the winners:

Almost all of the images received at least one vote. Many individuals spent a serious amount of time before making their choice to vote for best picture in each of the categories; 'Beauty of Winter' and "Fun in Winter'. The difference between several of the winning photos and Honorable Mention was only by one vote. Thanks to all the photographers who entered!! And a great big thank you to Kristin Rehder who ensured that the first prize winners would receive at least $50 and to Rich Whelden who also donated toward the prize money. Now get inspired and capture the winning photo for 2020!

Warm Regards,
Allen
